According to the Guardian, everybody’s favorite Vicodin-addicted MD (and my personal favorite posh Englishman), was in New Orleans today. Yes, today. And so am I.
To add insult to injury, not only was House in NOLA, but he was also playing his first live gig, celebrating the release of his upcoming debut blues album. The Guardian broadcast several songs live at 4pm GMT (10am New Orleans time, so we’ll just consider this a really, really, late set). Without prior notice, I missed the entire thing.
Oh well. For now, I’ll get my enjoyment out of picturing Laurie as he said this:
“I was not born in Alabama in the 1890s. I’ve never eaten grits, cropped a share, or ridden a boxcar.
